Social media is something you can never take lightly and is always a good reminder to me why we use social media in our strategy. Social does mean engaging with your followers with personality - Your Personality! When using social media in your business “the social part” means showing your passions about your community business.
This is also why a wordpress blog is a good platform to use as a webiste for an offline business. The blog is a very social platform which can be set up to show your products – And show your passion for your local community business at the same time. I know it sounds like work but once you get the hang of it, start to see people responding to post, then you have found your voice with the social media mindset.
Now if your business has a “static website” (meaning the site is does not get new content on it regularly), you still can the benefits of a word press blog by reading other blog post and leaving comments. Just remember to leave your name and fill in your website url in the comment section with a real response to the article. By commenting on other post you are still adding content to your name and business which leads back to your static website.
