St Patrick’s Day Celebration in Downtown St Louis

The 41st Annual St Patrick’s Day parade takes place on Saturday March 13, 2010. Downtown St Louis host one of the top parades in the country. Some say it is the biggest and most attended parade in the country for the St. Patrick’s day celebration.

The Dinner

The St Patrick’s Day dinner starts at 6:00PM Friday evening, March 12, 2010. It will take place at the St Louis Hilton Ballpark, in Downtown St Louis. It is a formal evening of dinner and entertainment in the good old Irish theme.

St Patrick’s Day Parade Run

The Parade Run will take place Saturday morning March 13, 2010 at 9:00AM. The run is  St Louis area biggest run event of its kind. The 5 mile run has over 9,000 participants and travels the streets of Downtown and Midtown St Louis.

The Parade

The Parade route starts at 18th and Market street at 12 noon at the Aloe Plaza. It will  procceed east to its conclusion at Broadway and Market Streets at the Ballpark Irish Village. So get dressed up in your best St. Patrick’s Day green and enjoy a Saturday in downtown St Louis.

Their will be many places along the parade route to find your favorite green beverages.  At the end of the Parade route in Keiner Plaza, the Irish-themed entertainment area will feature food and beverages from Hilton at the Ballpark, Seven Gables Inn, and Molly Darcy’s, Irish merchandise for sale, free family activities, and new for 2010: three live bands playing to 6:00 p.m.

The Bands…

  • Elevation  – Elevation is the ultimate tribute to U2. Delighting fans across the country since 2001, Elevation brings you the authentic sights and sounds that make U2 one of the most popular bands in the world.
  • Rough Ryders Country / Rock – Playing together since 2007, the Rough Ryders have an ample setlist of both country and rock favorites from artists such as Johnny Cash, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, George Strait and Tobey Keith to name a few.

There will also be a Children’s Stage offering entertainment including professional sports team mascots, Irish Dancers, cheerleaders, face painting, and much more.
